What is a Call to Action?

We talk about a Call to action; basically it is how you are grabbing the potential client and convincing them to buy from you.

When you write your call to action, add in a feature or two of your service – to ensure that they are aware that they will have a good experience dealing with your company.

Add in contact details and ensure that the desired method of communication (whether it be face to face, telephone, email or web contact) is spelt out.

Make sure that the contact details are in a slightly larger sized font than the body of the text.

If you have a special offer – this is where you put it, make it stand out and tell them it is for a limited time only (state the date) advertising is dated anyway so don’t be scared to add a date into the ad, you will get a better result, there are some examples below.

Consider using some of these simple offers as a call to action – the trick is to get the prospect to actually make an ACTION to contact you about purchasing your product/service. Give them a reason to WANT you.

  • Set a deadline for your offer
  • Let the customer know that Prices will soon be increased
  • Set up a trial period or an intro offer
  • Offer a complimentary gift
  • Use words like Low risk and Free Trial
  • If you have a shop front and a Website, consider doing a special that is available online only – so not available in store
  • Offer Upgrades or low cost items for free
  • Offer free accessories (work it into the price, but say it is free)
